Restaurant style Mughlai Gobhi Recipe

Dhaba Style Muglai Gobi Ki Sabji


Mughlai gobhi is a tangy and delicious dish. Gobhi cooked in tangy and spicy gravy made up with onion, tomato,green chilli and ginger garlic paste and lot of spices.

 Mughlai gobhi is a tasty and delicious vegetarian recipe. This Gobhi basically cooked in the smooth paste of tomatoes,onion, green chillies, ginger and garlic.Everyone at my home loves this recipe.


Basically Muglai Gobi includes gobi but i also add some potatoes as we love eating both of them.
This dhaba style gobhi really mouth watering and I am sure you will also love it.





Ingredient List :

1 cup blanched cauliflower 
1 cup parboiled potato
2 tomato puree
1 onion finely chopped
1/3 cup curd
3-4 cloves of garlic
1 small piece ginger
2 green chilies (optional)

Whole spices :

1 Bayleaf
2-3 cloves
2-3 green cardamom
7-8 whole black pepper
1 small piece of cinnamon stick

Dry Masala powder :

Salt to taste

Turmeric powder 1 Tbsp
Kashmiri red chili powder 1 Tbsp 
Coriander powder 2 Tbsp
Garam masala 1 tbsp
kasoori methi 1 tbsp

Blanching process :
Now at first we need to blanch florets of cauliflower then small cut pieces of potatoes. For that we have to boil the water and add gobhi pieces into that water.keep it for 10 minutes then immediately add all the gobi into cold ice water.This process is called blanching.Same we will be doing for our potatoes.Now both Gobhi and potatoes are almost half cooked.we will keep them aside and will prepare for the gravy.

For Gravy :


Now we will take a pan and add some oil into it then add whole spices cardamom, dalchini, sabut kali mirch and tej patta. Saute it for few seconds then add onions and ginger garlic paste and fry till onion turned to light brown color.Now we have to add tomato, green chilli paste into it and mix them well.Add all dry spices salt, kashmiri red chilli powder, dhania powder, jeera powder and give a nice mix.Now Cover the pan and cook the masala for around 10-15 minutes till the oil separates.


After then add curd and stir continuously on low flame.Cover the pan and cook for 5 more minutes.Now open the pan and check our gravy leaves the oil then add Gobi and potatoes into this gravy and mix it well.At last we will add garam masala and kasoori methi to give it a nice flavor.Now cook for another 5 minutes.


Super delicious dhaba style Mughlai Gobhi is ready to eat.Serve it hot with chapati or Naan .This recipe of gobhi gives a spicy and tangy flavor and it has a nice aroma of all the spices.

Tips :

We have to make a smooth paste of tomatoes and green chilies.
